Translate & Dub empowers you to effortlessly localize your video content, including voice, subtitles, and lip-sync.

Here’s how to perfectly translate your video into other languages step by step.

Upload Your Video

To get started, navigate to your Dashboard and click on Translate & Dub. This will open the upload dialog, where you can drag and drop your video files or click to upload.

You can also paste a link to upload your video.

Configure Project

Before processing your video, you’ll need to configure a few project settings:

  1. Project Name: A default name will be auto-filled, and you can modify it.

  2. Original Language: Select the original language of your video.

  3. Translated to: Choose the target language you want your video translated into.

  4. Number of Speakers: Specify the number of speakers in the video. If unsure, select Auto for automatic detection. For better accuracy, we recommend selecting the exact number of speakers if you know it.

  5. Context & Preference (Optional): Enter any details you’d like the AI to consider, such as the type of video, background information, desired tone, or language style. This helps the AI generate translations that align better with your expectations.

Once your video is uploaded and the configuration is complete, click Start Translation to begin processing your video.

Once the processing is complete, you’ll get your translated video with newly dubbed audio.

Proofreading Transcription and Speaker

After receiving your automatically translated video, you can easily proofread and correct the transcription and speaker labels using Vozo's Translation Editor.

Simply click on the incorrect original text to edit it, or click on the incorrect speaker tag to switch to the correct speaker. After making the corrections, click the Update Dubbing button to refresh the dubbing.

For more details, refer to the Proofreading Transcription and Speaker.

Edit Translations

Vozo’s AI translations provide high-quality results, but you can still make personalized adjustments as needed.

You can manually edit the translation by clicking on the text to activate editing. After making changes, click the Update Dubbing button to generate new dubbing for the segment.

You can also have the AI Pilot help adjust the translations. Click the translation to activate the toolbar, select the adjustment type, or input a custom prompt. The AI Pilot will modify the translations based on your instructions.

If you need to adjust the entire translation, click the AI Pilot at the bottom right of the Speech section, input your instructions, and the AI Pilot will revise the entire translation accordingly.

For more details, refer to the How to Edit Translations and How to Use AI Pilot.

Adjust Audio Timing and Speed

Due to differences in language structure, the duration of the translated audio may differ from the original. Vozo’s automatic translation ensures the audio aligns as closely as possible while maintaining a natural speaking pace. However, if you want to manually adjust the timing or speed of the audio, you can do this on the timeline at the bottom of the editor.

  • Adjust Timing:
Click on the audio clip you want to adjust, then drag it left or right to adjust its placement on the timeline.

  • Adjust Speed:
Hover over the left or right edge of the audio clip to reveal the control handle. Drag the handle to adjust the speed of the clip.

These adjustments take effect immediately, so there’s no need to regenerate the audio. You can preview the changes directly in the editor.

Add Subtitles & Lip Sync

The automatically translated video includes the new dubbing, and you can enhance it further by adding translated subtitles or performing lip-sync, if needed.

Add Subtitles

  1. Click on the Subtitles Tab on the left.

  2. Toggle the Add Subtitle switch. It will take a few minutes to generate the subtitles.

  3. Once the subtitles are generated, you can modify their style as needed.

Lip Sync

  1. Click on the Lip Sync Tab on the left.

  2. Select the number of faces in the video and then start the lip-sync process.

Note: Lip-sync is based on creating a new lip-sync project for the current video. Before starting lip-sync, ensure that the translated audio is accurate and finalized.

Export and Download

If you're satisfied with the video, click the Export button in the top-right corner of the editor.

Once the export is complete, click the Download button to download the video file.
