Lip Sync allows you to sync the lip movements of people in the video with the audio, supporting both single and multiple speakers. Here's a step-by-step guide on how to do it.

Upload Video and Audio

Upload Video

To get started, navigate to your Dashboard and click on Lip Sync. This will open the upload dialog, where you can drag and drop your video files or click to upload.

You can also paste a link to upload your video.

In addition, you can also create a project from the Translate & Dub or Rewrite & Dub projects by clicking the Lip Sync Tab on the left side. This will allow you to use the new dubbing to drive the lip sync.

Upload Audio

Next, upload the audio you want to use for lip-syncing. You can either upload an audio file or use the audio stream from the video file.

Choosing a Lip Sync Mode (Members Only)

Free users automatically use the Standard Mode, while members can choose between modes for their lip sync projects.

Standard Mode

Precision Mode

Speed

Fast: Estimated 10 minutes in the queue and processing.

Slow: Estimated 2 hours in the queue and processing.

Ideal For

Most front-facing videos.

Side profiles or videos with detailed facial features, such as beards or moles.

Not Suitable For

Side profiles or videos with detailed facial features, such as beards or moles.

Videos with static or minimal mouth movement.

Click here to learn more about the differences between the two modes.

Note: If you're still unsure which mode to select, start with Standard Mode to quickly get a result. If you're not satisfied with the results, you can switch to the other mode and process the video again for free.

Select Number of Faces in Video

Select the number of faces in the video (1 or 2+).

Note that if your video contains multiple faces but you only want to sync one person's lips, still choose 2+. After Face Detection is complete, you can choose which specific face to sync. (This step does not consume points yet.)

Once you've configured the settings, click Start Lip Sync or Start Face Detection to proceed.

Select the Faces to Sync

If you select 2+ for the number of faces, make sure to choose the faces you want to lip-sync after the Face Detection is complete.

After selecting the face, click Start Lip Sync to begin processing.

Edit the Lip-Synced Video

Once the processing is complete, you will receive the lip-synced video.

If you find that Lip Sync has been applied to the wrong face or to a segment where it shouldn't have been synced, you can easily make edits in the Lip Sync editor.

What to Do if Lip Sync Was Applied to the Wrong Face?

If your video contains multiple faces in a frame and Vozo has synced the wrong face (for example, in a frame where both Face A and Face B appear, but the audio is from Face B and Face A was synced), you can correct it by following these steps:

  1. Pause the video at the segment where both Face A and Face B appear, and where the sync is incorrect.

  2. You’ll see both faces automatically recognized. Face A will be selected by default and show the "Lip synced" status.

  3. Select Face B, and it will display the "Not synced" status. Click the Set Sync button next to it. Now, Face B will show "Ready to lip sync," and Face A will change to "Ready to remove sync". The timeline for this segment will highlight, indicating that it is pending an update.

  4. After ensuring all segments are corrected in this way, click the Update Video button.

  5. Once Lip Sync is completed again, the video will be updated with the correct synchronization. (This process does not consume points.)

What to Do if Lip Sync Was Applied to a Segment Where It Shouldn’t Be?

If a segment in your video doesn't require lip-sync, but Vozo applied it anyway, you can correct this easily. For example, if Face A appears in the video but the audio is a voiceover that doesn't belong to Face A, you can follow these steps to fix it:

  1. Pause the video at the segment with the error. You’ll see Face A automatically recognized and selected, showing the "Lip synced" status.

  2. Click the Remove Sync button next to Face A. This will change Face A’s status to "Ready to remove sync". The timeline for this segment will highlight, indicating it is pending an update.

  3. After ensuring all segments are corrected in this way, click the Update Video button.

  4. Once Lip Sync is completed again, Face A's lip movements in the corrected segment will return to their original state, no longer synchronized with the voiceover audio. (This process does not consume points.)

Download the Video
