Rewrite & Dub allows you to easily edit the dubbing or voiceover of a video by editing the text, all while preserving the original voice. You can use it to fix errors in specific sentences or completely rewrite the content for a fresh narrative. This guide will walk you through how to do it.

Upload Your Video

To get started, navigate to your Dashboard and click on Rewrite & Dub. This will open the upload dialog, where you can drag and drop your video files or click to upload. You can also paste a link to upload your video.

Configure Your Project

Before starting the process, you’ll need to configure the following settings:

  • Project Name: This field will auto-fill, but you can modify it if needed.

  • Language Spoken: Select the language spoken in the video.

  • Number of Speakers: Choose the number of speakers in the video. If you’re unsure, select Auto-Detect, but specifying the accurate number can improve the recognition accuracy.

Once you’ve completed these configurations, click Continue, and the video processing will begin.

Edit Speech

Once the processing is complete, you can review the transcription for each speaker. Now you can edit the speech.

Manually Edit Speech

In the Speech section, click on the text you want to modify to activate editing.

After editing the text, click the Update Dubbing button to generate the new dubbing.

Ask AI Pilot to Help You Edit

You can also ask AI Pilot to assist with editing. Click on the text to activate the toolbar, then click Rewrite with AI to open the dialog box and input instructions for AI Pilot to modify the text. You can choose whether to apply the AI-generated result.

If you want to modify or rewrite the entire content, click the AI Pilot button in the bottom right corner of the Speech section, input your instructions, and AI Pilot will help you edit the speech in the entire video.

Adjust Audio Timing and Speed

In the timeline at the bottom of the editor, you can adjust the timing and speed of the audio clip.

Adjust Timing

Click on the audio clip you want to adjust, then drag it left or right to adjust its placement on the timeline.

Adjust Speed
Hover over the left or right edge of the audio clip to reveal the control handle. Drag the handle to adjust the speed of the clip.

Lip Sync

After modifying the dubbing, you can use the new audio to sync the lip movements of the speakers in the video.

  1. Click on the Lip Sync Tab on the left.

  2. Select the number of faces in the video, then start the lip-sync process.

Export and Download

If you're satisfied with the video, click the Export button in the top-right corner of the editor.

Once the export is complete, click the Download button to download the video file.
